Description
The alpha male of the Canyon wolf pack, 712M, walks into the afternoon light on new year's eve in northern Yellowstone National Park. The wolves had come down to feed on an elk carcass they had taken down the night before.
A note about this image: This is a heavy crop, so I applied some blur to the background to reduce some of the noise caused by the image sensor.
